Sharron Clark VanGilder, 77 of Stonewood, passed away on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 in the comfort of her home with her husband and son by her side after a long illness with dementia. She was born December 6, 1944 in Clarksburg, daughter of the late Clark William Johnson and Thelma Jane Johnson Douglas.

Sharron graduated from Washington Irving High School, Class of 1962. Throughout the years, Sharron was employed by Continental Can, Eagle Convex Glass and retired from working in a local bakery. She enjoyed bowling, reading and watching television game shows. She was an animal lover and was a member of the Stonewood Sunbonnets CEOS Club. She was a Protestant by faith and attended the First Church of Nazarene in Stonewood.

Sharron is survived by her husband of fifty-three years, Dexter Cleo VanGilder Jr., two sons, Michael W. Binegar and wife Angelica of Germany and Bryan C. VanGilder and wife Deniz of Alexandria, VA; two grandchildren, T’Aja K. Blake and Elizabeth VanGilder; one great granddaughter, Kaia E. Blake; many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Sharron is preceded in death by two brothers, Charles E. Coburn and Leverne Douglas.
