On Saturday, August 8, 2015 our LORD Jesus called the soul of Sharon Thompson out of this world to the unending joy and rest of eternal life with him in heaven.
Sharon Judy Thompson was born July 17, 1945 in Lincoln, Nebraska, the daughter of Harold and Dora (Miller) Ahlmann. She grew up in Norfolk and was confirmed at St. Johns Lutheran Church and attended Norfolk Senior High.
Sharon married Jesse R. Thompson on September 30, 1961 at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Norfolk.
She was president of the Monroe School PTA and a Girl Scout leader in Norfolk. Sharon was employed by ESU #8 school, the director of ARC, and she was self-employed for many years.
Sharon is survived by her children Lori (Mike) Miller, Lynn (Jeff) Walmsley and Anthony (Misty) Thompson all of Norfolk, nine grandchildren Megan (Seth) Ellenwood of Lincoln, Katie Walmsley of Ord, Hailey Walmsley of Norfolk, Jessie, Shalyn and Jacob Miller of Norfolk, Zakk, Michaela and Titian Thompson of Norfolk, one great grandson Julian, mother Dora Ahlmann, one brother Richard (Carol) Sydow of Broomfield, CO, one sister Barbara (Ron) Forslund, and special niece Doreen (Bart) Johnston and her children Eric, Taylor, Kyra and Kelsey of Lindsay.
She is preceded in death by her husband Jesse in 2003, her father Harold Ahlmann and her brother Harold Ahlmann, Jr..
