….A native of Picayune, MS, and a member of Calvary Christian Fellowship Church, Sharon was the youngest of 4 daughters. She was born with spina bifida and had numerous operations throughout her life. The doctors did not expect her to live past the age of 12, but God blessed her with many more years. Sharon had a beautiful, strong spirit, that helped her face challenges in life. She loved everyone and always had a smile. Sharon loved to drive and enjoyed going to gospel singings with her sister, Maureen.. Her favorite song was “You are my sunshine”, and while battling a rare form of cancer in the last months, she sang this song to everyone she met. Sharon was a loving sister, aunt, cousin, and friend, who will be truly missed by all who knew and loved was preceded in death by her parents, Clifton Vernon “Dutch” Meitzler and Myra Faye Walker Meitzler; and her sister, Verna Faye Mitchell and husband, Jimmy to cherish her memory are her sisters, Myra Maureen Meitzler of Nicholson and Charla Krein and her husband, Anthony “Skip” of Sandy Hook, MS; her nephews, Clifton (Michelle) Gerald of Luanda, Africa, Jephrey (Consuella) Gerald of Bogalusa, LA, and Timothy Vernon Mitchell of Nicholson, MS; her great niece, Norah Faye Mitchell of Leetown Community, MS; several cousins; and her loveable puppy dogs, Joyce and Joshua..
