Sharon Parrish Sorrell, 70, passed away on Monday, January 19th, 2015 at North Carolina Memorial Hospital peacefully surrounded by family and friends.
Mrs. Sorrell was born in Benson, NC on January 3rd, 1945. She was the daughter of James Ray Parrish and Doris Benson Parrish. While Sharon worked at Nationwide Insurance of Raleigh for 37 years, retiring in 2000, her true passion was serving her Lord Jesus Christ following His example in service and love to all who had the privilege of knowing her. She had a special passion for those less fortunate than her, and spent countless hours delivering meals, bibles, books and tracts, while ministering to their needs and sharing her faith. One of the greatest highlights of her life was her trip with her daughter to the Holy Land in November of 2010.
She is survived by her husband Clyde Sorrell (married 32 glorious years), her son Parrish Livingston (married to Christine) and her daughter Paige Ciasto (married to Leigh), along with her stepdaughter Wendy Auman (married to Jim). She was the eldest of three children and is survived by her sister Priscilla Parrish Byrd and her brother Jerry Wayne Parrish. She leaves behind 6 grandchildren: Madison and Cody Lanphere, Morgan and Noelle Ciasto, and CJ and Kate Auman. She will be missed by countless other family and friends.
