Sharon Marie Griffin, age 60 of DeMotte, passed away at home surrounded by family, Sunday, January 13, 2019.
She was born on February 13, 1958 in Roseland, Illinois and is the daughter of Frank and Sylvia (Lewandowski) Kabat. Sharon graduated from Thornton Township High School. She earned a PHD at Roosevelt University and also attended UCLA. Sharon was a self-employed Registered Nurse. She was married to Norm Griffin for 20 years, together they have a son. Sharon was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church, involved in various organizations, an author of text books and a series of children’s books.
Sharon is survived by her mother: Sylvia Kabat of Carmel, IN; son: Timothy Griffin of DeMotte, IN; brother: Bruce Kabat of Chicago, IL; sister: Joyce (Terry) Crowder of Fishers, IN; ex-husband Norm Griffin of Chicago, IL; several nieces & nephews.
Sharon was preceded in death by her father.
