Sharon E. Mackenstadt, 71 of Great Falls, passed away October 17, 2014 of natural causes.

Sharon was born February 4, 1943 in Rolla, North Dakota. In 1948 she moved with her family to Chinook, MT where she attended public schools through the eleventh grade. In 1959 she was married to Dale Mackenstadt and the two were later divorced in 1985.

Sharon and her family came to Great Falls in 1967. She waitressed at Borries in Black Eagle from 1976 to 2007 when she retired. She was a former member of the Uptown Optimists and a lifetime member of the VFW Auxiliary #1087. She loved the outdoors: camping, hunting, fishing, gardening, ATVs and snowmobiling, but most of all she enjoyed her time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and baking for her loved ones. She was a very hard worker and would always be the first one to lend a hand.

Sharon is survived by her daughters, Shelly Mackenstadt and Marcie (Scott) Watson; sons, Greg (Beth) Mackenstadt and Robert (Heather) Mackenstadt; sisters, Sandy (Bob) Samsel, Cynde (Corky) Maddox, and Lana (Bob) Fulcher; brother, Richard (Margaret) Geffrey; grandchildren, Tamara (James) Wyatt, Shanon Rammell, Randi Rammell, Qoleton Rammell, Kelsea (Griff) Moore, Ben Johnson, Dustin Johnson, Kolby Mackenstadt, Paige Mackenstadt, Hayleigh Watson, Tristan Watson, Darby Mackenstadt, and Keegan Mackenstadt; and great-grandchildren, Aspen Wyatt and Easton Wyatt.

She is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, and one sister.
