Sharon  Mayerka, beloved mother, grandmother, and co-owner of H&M Heating and Air conditioning, passed away in the company of family at a local hospital Thursday morning May 28th.  Sharon had been living at an assisted living and rehabilitation facility since April when she lost her devoted husband of 50 years to cancer.  The two soul mates met at an Airman’s dance at Mountain Home Air Force Base in 1964, and could often be found dancing cheek to cheek.

Sharon’s life began on a farm in Caldwell, ID where she was born the oldest of 4 children to Wilma and Royse Van Curen.

Besides loving and caring for her family and working daily word or board puzzles, Sharon enjoyed driving mountain roads, cross country, and even a Taxi cab for her Brother’s Kwik Cab Co. for 6 years.  She also loved fishing and picking huckleberries, and creating delicious dishes and pies that would have family members fighting over the last piece!  The family is comforted knowing she has reunited with her cherished Harold at “5th and Main” in eternity.  Her generous heart and stories will be deeply missed.

Sharon is survived by her Husband, Harold; Brothers, Bruce and Douglas Van Curen, daughters, Lori Thompson and Helen Deems; Granddaughters, Kasey and Sydney Deems; and Son-in-law, Curtis Deems

She is preceded in Death By:  Her Parents Royse and Wilma Van Curen and her Brother Dale Van Curen.
