Sharon Lee Ringley, 63, of Westminster, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, January 8, 2016, at the Dove House. Born January 19, 1952 in Gettysburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Mae Belle Hooper McKinney and Francis Snyder.
Before retiring, she was the Director of Transportation at Springfield State Hospital, where she worked 32 years and worked part time and volunteered at the VFW. She was a life-member of the VFW Post No. 467, Ladies Auxiliary where she was the current president. She was also a member of the American Legion Carroll Post No. 31, Ladies Auxiliary, Women of the Moose, Chapter No. 897. In her younger years she was a majorette with Starlighters Drum and Bugle Corp. She loved picking and grinning.
She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Amanda and Donald Blanchard of Taneytown, Shirl and Michael Considine of Hampstead, grandchildren Jared, Jessica and Joshua Blanchard of Taneytown and Jordan and Brooke Considine of Hampstead, brothers and sisters Brenda Bellew of Westminster, Linda Thompson of Littlestown, PA, Steve Snyder and wife Sheila of Westminster, Karen Standifer and husband Norman of Sykesville, Larry Snyder and wife Edy of Westminster, Kim Cook and husband Jeff of Westminster and Mark McKinney and wife Deb of Lancaster, PA. Also survived by former husbands Joe Buchanon and Ronald Ringley and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
