Sharon Kay Van Zandt, 77, of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas, passed away, Sunday, December 6, 2020 at Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home, Arkansas.
She was born in Evanston, Illinois, on February 18, 1943, to Marion (nee Engelhard) and Henry Wietor, but later in life was thrilled to find her biological father, Irving Feinberg. Sharon was united in marriage to Vernon C. Van Zandt (Butch) in Long Lake, Illinois on May 2, 1964 and from this union two daughters were born, Wendy and Jami.
Sharon began her career as a beautician, and after raising her daughters enjoyed many years working as a manager in the Commissions Department for Kemper and Zurich Insurance. She loved to cook, read, and teach line dancing at the Loft. She was an active member of the Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church and Ladies Golf at The Golf Course at Turkey Mountain.
Sharon is survived by her loving husband, Butch Van Zandt of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas; cherished daughters, Wendy Katzel (Jeff) of Round Lake Heights, Illinois and Jami Hamm (Fred) of Ingleside, Illinois; step-brother, Brad Feinberg of Elgin, Illinois; step-sister Terry Feinberg of Freeport, Illinois; and five beloved grandchildren: Ashley, Tyler, Sarah, Megan, and Abby.
