Sharon Kay Stewart, 70, of Anderson, passed away in the loving arms of Jesus on May 18, 2018, at the Riverview Hospital in Noblesville, IN. She was born on July 31, 1947, in Vincennes, Indiana, and resided most of her life in Anderson.
Sharon graduated from Lincoln High School of Vincennes in 1965. She then graduated from Vincennes University in 1967 and IUPUI in 1972 with a bachelor of science degree in nursing. She worked for a number of different hospitals including Good Samaritan Hospital of Vincennes from 1966-1972, IU Med Center of Indianapolis from 1972-1974, St. Vincent Indianapolis from 1974-1975, and St. John’s/St. Vincent Anderson from 1980-2004. She was a member of Alpha Theta Tau, Psi Iota Xi, and the Multiple Sclerosis Society. She was a member of Anderson First Friends and United Wesleyan Church of Anderson.
Sharon is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Thomas R. Stewart; children, Jennifer (Troy) Hires of Noblesville, IN, Ryan Stewart of Anderson, IN, Shawn Stewart of Anderson, IN, and Stephanie (Kyle) Watson of McKinney, TX; stepson, Brad (Rebecca) Stewart of Noblesville, IN; grandsons, Joshua, Jeremy (Jessica), Nicolas, Jaden, Roman, Luca, and Oliver; and great-grandchildren, Blayne and Colton. Also, surviving are her sister, Susan (Russell) Short of Vincennes, IN; nephew, Eric Short of Vincennes, IN, and many other nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary E. and Claude C. Cullop; mother and father-in-law, Martha and Raymond Stewart, and several aunts and uncles.
