Sharon Kay Parker, nee Gragg, 73, of Knox, IN, formerly of Urich and Clinton, MO, passed away in Highland, IL on July 22, 2019. Sharon was born on August 31, 1945, in Kansas City, MO. Sharon enjoyed volunteering her time by distributing food from the food pantry at the Starke County Senior Services Center, being a member of the Starke County Historical Society, sewing, quilting, traveling, fishing, camping, and gardening. Her specialty was canning all fruits and vegetables from her garden, making homemade jelly, and sharing her knowledge of these processes. Sharon was a mother and grandmother to everyone she met and loved adding new extended family and friends with each person she met.

Sharon was preceded in death by her husband, Michael “Mickey” Parker and her parents, H.L. “Pete” and Bernice (nee Steward) Gragg. Sharon is survived by her children, Mike Parker of Grovertown, IN and Glynda (Lance) Edmunds of Knox, IN; sisters, Margaret (Dan) Mauldin of Kilgore, TX, Shirley Wheeler of Dallas, TX and Patty (Herschel) Hatley of Lee’s Summit, MO; grandchildren, Michael (Miranda) Parker, Chelsey Parker, Christopher Parker, Dillon (Patricia) Parker, Maryssa Guzman, Lauryn Guzman, Daniel Guzman, and Kaedyn Edmunds; and great-grandchildren, Xavier, Jax, Owen, Brantley, and Tobias.
