Sharon Kay Matheson, 75, of Pendleton, passed away May 8, 2017 at the St. Vincent’s Anderson Regional Hospital Anderson, IN.
She was born on November 8, 1941 in Harlan, Kentucky. Sharon graduated from Purdue University as a non-traditional student with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Programming. She worked in Civil Service in the United States and Germany from 1975-1995, attaining a GS12 rating, and H&R Block from 1998-2002. She and her husband traveled extensively in the United States and Abroad before returning to Anderson. She was a very active member of Mount Pleasant Community Church and regular volunteer at the Park Place Church of God Food Pantry.
Sharon is survived by her daughter,Terri Lynn (Will Saylor) Neuendorf; step-daughter, Theresa Joan Vickers; beloved rotten dog, Sox; several dear aunts, uncles, cousins, and many special friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lynn Matheson and parents, Mary (Roberts) and Kenneth Gibbs.
