Sharon Kay Keele of Bloomington, Indiana, age 72, passed away August 16, 2017 at Garden Villa nursing facility due to heart failure from chronic colon problems. She suffered a stroke one year earlier, which complicated her situation.
She was born April 9, 1945 in Detroit Michigan and was the daughter of Pastor Roscoe Burk and Welcom (Myers) Burk.
Sharon was member of New Unionville Baptist Church in Monroe County, Indiana.
She was a loving wife of 47 years, mother, and grandmother of six who enjoyed crafts, and was a master scrapbooker. She worked as a church secretary for many years and nearly completed a degree in journalism from Azusa-Pacific University in southern California (where she met her husband to be). Because her father was a traveling evangelical minister, she loved to listen to Christian Gospel quartet music. Later in life, she also loved painting her nails and working word search puzzles! Everyone said she had a great sense of humor and was very well liked by all!
Survivors include her husband Don Keele, children Michelle Renae O’Donnell, Kimberlynn Deanne Case, Kevin Scott Keele, son-in-law Matt Case, daughter-in-law Katie Keele, grandchildren Alexandria Case, Brock, Bret , Braxton O’Donnell, and Keirstan and Kaleb Keele. Also surviving are her sister Iris Jean and her husband Bash Nola, as well as her niece Kammy Baker, brother David Burk, his wife Tina, and nephews Garrett Burk and John Burk.
She was preceded in death by her youngest son Brandon Keele, her parents Roscoe and Welcom Burk, and Brother Jerry Burk.
