Sharon Kay Carpenter, 78, of Batesville, departed this life on Tuesday, September 28, 2021.

She was born in Blytheville, Arkansas on August 7, 1943 to John Ellis Polston and Nonia Pearl Doyle Polston. Sharon was a member of Harrison Street Church of Christ.

She was a people person who enjoyed spending time with others. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles and writing poems. She loved gospel music. Her favorite song was I’ve Got A Mansion.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Doyle Ray Polston, and Jessie Brock, who was her life partner of over twenty years.

Sharon is survived by her daughters, Tammy Godsey (Larry), of Locust Grove, Briggett Hodges (Calvin) of Bald Knob; a brother, Gayron Polston, of Manila; two grandchildren, Kayla and Brittney; two great-grandchildren, Grayson and Michael; several nieces, nephews, and many other extended family members.
