Mrs. Sharon K. Boldt, age 69, passed through the gates to Heaven at her home on August 15, 2016. She was born April 9, 1947 in Port Clinton, OH and grew up on the farm with her parents, brother, and three sisters in Oak Harbor, OH. She was preceded in death by her father, Vernon Hemminger of Oak Harbor, OH and brother, Robert “Butch” Hemminger of Woodbine, GA.
Survivors include her loving husband, Robert “Bob” Boldt; proud sons, Brian Boldt and Keith Boldt; her mother, age 92, Edythe Stetler Hemminger of Oak Harbor, OH; sisters and brother-in-laws, Barbara and Eugene Banky of Graytown, OH, Pat and Steve Mclaughlin of Elmore OH, and Gloria Krause of Oak Harbor, OH; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Barbara Boldt Bahs and Dr. Clarence Bahs of Nacogdoches, TX; numerous nieces & nephews.
Bob met Sharon on a double date back in Ohio and the rest is history. He moved her from the Ohio farm on a journey with the USAF to Biloxi, MS and San Bernardino, CA, where Brian was born, then back to Ohio after the military where Keith was born. Bob got a job at the local Uniroyal Naugahyde factory thanks to a friend. This led him into a sales position and many more moves to include Mishawaka, IN, Jackson, MS, Fort Smith, AR, Novi, MI, Longmont, CO, then on to Georigia in 1985. Sharon sure did know how to pack a bag.
Sharon’s love for her family was foremost. She was a fantastic cook and was always asked to make her famous homemade pies from scratch for any event. When in the workforce she was a perfectionist with serious work ethics that were admired by many. She started early as a Beautician and later learned to love banking; which she started in Colorado and carried on to Georgia. She was a natural at problem solving and attention to detail. She was known to always have the answers. Her more recent love was HGTV, especially Chip and Joanna on Fixer Upper. She wanted so badly to go to Waco TX in hopes of meeting the stars of that program and to enjoy some good country music. Many of their ideas and hers resulted in a beautiful interior remodel. Shiplap is the only thing missing.
