Sharon Ann Kauphusman of Boise Idaho passed away on November 26, 2022.
Sharon was born September 11, 1946, in Fresno, California, the first born of (two children) to Edward and Evelyn (Stokes) Sittner.  Sharon always had a great experience with her life, growing up with her family, other relatives; with everyone being a friend to her.   At an early age, Sharon found her forte with dancing.   From Sharon’s early Grade School through High School years, Sharon was an Arthur Murray Dance Studio Instructor.  Sharon was always a great achiever in dancing, with whomever she got to dance with.   A fellow classmate, Junior High through High School living in the close proximity, Leroy and Sharon always had great time with dancing.   In the early fall season of 1963, Sharon and Leroy entered a citywide dance marathon contest; with winning the Grand Prize of the “Chubby Checker” Twist Contest.   During the summer of 1964 a well-known American dancer, choreographer, actor, and singer. widely considered the greatest dancer in film history, came to Fresno, CA for a performance.   With the dance comity easily deciding for Sharon Sittner to be the guest performers dance partner; during the dance recital.   For two and a half hours, Sharon got to dance with Fred Astaire!  After the dance recital Fred Astaire ask Sharon: “Are you out of school yet?” Sharon had to respond: “No Mr. Astaire, I’ve still got my Senior year; to attend”?  Fred Astaire gave Sharon a big kiss on the lips, telling her: “to look him up, after she graduated from High School” with him making Sharon his new dance partner!  During the first school dance Sharon and Leroy’s senior year, a male sophomore student Gerald S Perry came stag to the dance, with not finding anyone he knew; to dance with. But with his noticing Sharon and Leroy dancing up a storm; Gerald cut in to dance with Sharon.  The rest of the school year, if it wasn’t Leroy dancing with Sharon; it was Gerald to dance with Sharon.  It turned out, that Sharon and Gerald were in the Glee Club, singing together.  So, when it came time for the Senior Prom, Gerald timidly asked Sharon: “with his being only a sophomore, if he could take her to the Senior Prom”?  Sharon simply responded with:” as long as one in a party is a Senior, as I make for that; you can take me to the Prom Dance.  Sharon got to go to the Prom with Gerald S Perry! After Sharon and Leroy Graduated in 1965, Gerald continued with his singing, even with garages gigs with friends.  After Gerald S Perry graduated from High School, he wanted to go professional in singing, changing his name to his middle name.  So, Gerald became “Steve Perry” of the Singing group “Journey” After Sharon graduated from High School, she was smitten by her first husband to be, without fulfilling Fred Astaire’s offer.  Sharon was married the first husband Robert Stewart in September 1966, with being in several tours of US Air Force: with in the main 48 States of the USA.  Sharon had four lovely children, Twin Daughters Lynda and Debbie; daughter, Sharon Ranee; and son, Robert (Bob). before her first husband retired from the US Air Force at Mountain Home Idaho AFB in the late 1970’s: residing in Boise, Idaho afterwards.
