Sharon was born February 15, 1936 in Chicago, Illinois. She graduated from Marquette University in 1958. After teaching 5th graders for a year and then working for an insurance company in Chicago, she met and married her loving husband of 59 years, Harry, on August 24, 1963. Together they lived in Chicago, Santa Monica, CA,  Laguna Niguel, CA, Glenview, IL and New Smyrna Beach, FL since 1988.

 

She will be remembered for her devotion to her faith and family, her elegant style, spoiling her grandchildren, enjoying cappuccino and a glass of Chardonnay and wonderful memories during annual family vacations at Ocean Reef Club in Key Largo.

 

She was known by her family as “Nonnie” and she loved being a stay-at-home mom.

 

Sharon is survived by her husband, Harry; children, Kimberly Godber and husband, Erik, Scott Brandt and wife, Kristi; grandchildren, Meredith, Claire, Alexandra, Kaitlin and Stephen; brothers, Gary Nansen and Kenny Nansen; niece, Briana and nephew, Gabe. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence Nansen and Lucille (Reilly) Nansen.
