Sharon (Gragg) Hayes was born on March 2, 1941, in McAlester, OK, and passed from this life on July 2, 2016, in Newnan, GA.
She grew up in Crowder, OK graduating as valedictorian from Crowder High School in 1959. As a small child, she was perceived to have a calling for caring for others and her lifelong ambition was to be a nurse. This led her to attend Oklahoma Baptist Hospital School of Nursing graduating in 1962. She spent most of her life working as a Registered Nurse in McAlester and Tulsa, OK retiring in 2007 after 45 years of service. She was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed cheering on her OU Sooners and Atlanta Braves. She also loved cooking, baking, working in the yard, watching her granddaughter Amanda play soccer, watching her grandson Josh swim, and just being with family. She is survived by the love of her life and husband of 54 years Jewell, daughters Shelli McKnight and her husband Scott of Sharpsburg, Janice Spickelmier and her husband JC of Fishers, IN, grandchildren Amanda McKnight and Joshua Spickelmier, brothers Ron Gragg and his wife Concetta of Crowder, OK and Carl Gragg and his wife Carlene of Marietta, OK, nieces and nephews and many, many special friends.
At the time of her death, she was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Sharpsburg, GA but enjoyed many special years at Beaver Street Baptist Church in Jenks, OK.
