On November 22, 2008, Sharon D. Graves passed away in Boerne, Texas, after a long illness. Sharon was born on May 14, 1942, in Sherman, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents Dr. W.M. McFarland and Eleanor McFarland. She is survived by her husband, Dr. Virgil B. Graves of Fair Oaks Ranch, Texas, and her three grown children: Laura Graves of Lakewood, Colorado; Alan Graves of San Diego, California; and Scott Graves of Denver, Colorado. Sharon was a loving wife and mother. She grew up in Sherman Texas; graduated from Sherman High School; and, received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in U.S. History and Government from Austin College. On June 1, 1963, she married her childhood sweetheart, Dr. Virgil B. Graves. They have been married for 45 loving years.Sharon went on to teach Jr High School U.S. History and Government for four years in La Marque, Texas. Then, she became a devoted homemaker. In 1974, she and her family moved to Great Falls, Montana. She fell in love with the Rocky Mountains.
