Denise was preceded in death by her parents. She leaves behind her loving husband, Terrell Nelson of Alford; son, Charlie Nelson and wife, Christina; two daughters, Ashley Nelson and Rachel Williams and husband, Joshua all of Alford; two brothers, Tommy Allen Gardner, Jr. of Wilsonville, AL, and Elvis Preston Gardner of Birmingham, AL; two sisters, Pam Smith of Birmingham, AL and Yvonne Reitz of Texas; 17 grandchildren that called her “Eaya” and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
