Sharon D. Roehm, age 77, formerly of Wheatfield, IN, passed away at her residence in Surprise, AZ on Monday, April 25, 2016.
Sharon was born on December 27, 1938 to the late Billy and Marian (nee Lennertz) McKinney. Sharon had previously resided in DeMotte, IN for 30 years and Wheatfield, IN for 10 years before moving to Arizona eight months ago. Sharon was a 1956 graduate of Edison High School in Lake Station.
On May 9, 1959 in Lake Station, Sharon married the love of her life Edward G. Roehm Sr., who passed away August 11, 1996. Sharon was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church, DeMotte, IN. Sharon loved to cook and host holiday gatherings with family in her home. Family was everything to her and she loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was tech-savvy and was able to keep up with family even at long distance using her skills with Facebook, Instagram and texting. She was affectionately called “Grandma Sharon” by many other children in the area.
Sharon is survived by; her loving children, Edward (Joyce) Roehm Jr., of Liberty Township, OH and Sheryl (Toney) Elston, of Surprise, AZ.; four grandchildren, Cameron (Meagan) Bell of Nashville, TN, Morgan (Josh) Tillema of Madison ,WI, Christian Roehm and Alyssa Roehm of Liberty Township, OH; two great grandchildren, Jackson and Poppy Bell; sister, Jan (Bill) Pool of Chesterton, IN and nephews Joshua (Kayla) Pool of Chesterton, IN and Jared Pool of Berlin, Germany.
Sharon is preceded in death by; her parents and her husband, Edward Sr.
