Sharon Jane Babcock, 70, of Bloomington passed away Thursday, October 15, 2015 at her daughter’s residence.
Born December 22, 1944 in Washington, Indiana, she was the daughter of Charles W. and M. Gladys VanWinkle.
Sharon was a dedicated employee of Indiana Bell/AT&T for over 30 years. After retiring from there, she moved onto Cook Incorporated where she enjoyed her job as a customer service representative for 19 years. She made valuable friendships that she truly treasured throughout her working career.
She was a member of the Sherwood Oaks Christian Church.
Sharon was a loving and thoughtful mom, grandma, great-grandma and sister who enjoyed being a Master Gardener. A dedicated and devoted friend, she enjoyed her Wednesday luncheons with her ladies group entitled the “Dirty Half Dozen.”
Survivors include one daughter, Lisa Campbell of Bloomington, one granddaughter, Heather Hastings (Travis), one great-grandson, Jackson Reid Hastings all of Plainfield, one sister, Betty Martin and Gloria Angell, who Sharon considered a daughter as well, along with nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Billy VanWinkle.
