Mrs. Sharon Ann (Worrell) Hooker, age 68 of Sanford, NC entered into eternal rest on Monday, May 8, 2023 in Sanford, NC.
Mrs. Sharon Ann Worrell Hooker was born on August 15,1954, to the late Silas Worrell and Mary Alease Dowd Worrell in Portsmouth, Virginia, where she lived until the passing of her mother. She then moved to North Carolina where her grandmother, Mrs. Linner Dowd raised her and her siblings. Sharon Ann Worrell Hooker graduated from Horton High School in Pittsboro, North Carolina. Then she attended Central Carolina community college to get her cosmetology license and early childhood. Then she was able to open and run her own childcare center All About Us Kidz. She was a long-life member of Liberty Chapel Church in Moncure, North Carolina. Sharon was all about her family and friends. She loved to have big cookouts and always served her community.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Ms. Artricia M. Hudson; brother, Mr. Anthony M. Worrell; father in law, Mr. Elwood Hooker; son in law, Joseph R. Ledbetter; brother in laws, John Cross and Joseph Wyatt.
She leaves to cherish her memories her husband of 54 years, John Hooker of the home; four children, Roderick (Tiffany) Hooker, Rodney (Kendra) Hooker, Randal (Tiana) Hooker, Catondra Ledbetter, all of Sanford, North Carolina; grandchildren, Levonta Hooker who was raised in the home with her his whole life, Rodney Hooker, Jr., Randal (Arrianna) Hooker, Joseph Ledbetter, Taliea Hooker, Khai Hooker, Katiana Hooker, Corey Hooker, Oletta Hooker, Isaac Hooker, Joshua Ledbetter, Deajah Hooker, Kealani Hooker, Myleciee Burton, Elijah Rollins, Timothy Reaves, Tre Shawn Bowden, Jerrel Horton, and Kyleigh Haynes; great-grandchildren, Brielle Hooker, Olivia Zawatzki, Kasen Hooker, Keleiyah Hooker, Zy’mere Martin, and Aria Bellamy; sister, Elder Patsy Cross; brother, Michael (Goldie) Worrell; mother in law, Mrs. Elizabeth Madison; god-children, Jordon Matthews and Aerrilyn Johnson and host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
