Sharon Ann Watts, 75, of South Bend, Indiana passed away at 9:02 p.m. Saturday, March 3, 2018 in St. Joseph Regional Medical Center as a result of cardiac arrest.  Her family was by her side as she transitioned from this existence to the next.

Sharon was born on November 14, 1942 in South Bend to Edward Joseph and Theresa Ann (Gerencher) Delinski, and was lifelong resident.  In July, 1975 she married Eugene Stachowiak, who preceded her in death on September  3, 1991.  In November, 2003 she married Richard Watts, who preceded her in death on December 25, 2010.  She was also preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Theresa Delinski; and her brother, Timothy Delinski.  Sharon is survived by her daughter, Corrie (Tom) Klimek of South Bend, Indiana; two sons, Jim (Jonna) Ayers of Walkerton, Indiana and Bobby (Diane) Lockmondy of Pasadena, Texas; five grandchildren, Jacob, Sally, Joel, Jorjia, and Gary; and two sisters, Sandra Boyer of South Bend, Indiana and Terri Hutchinson of Mishawaka, Indiana.

Sharon was a graduate of Riley High School, South Bend.  Throughout most of her working years, she was employed by Wheel Horse Company in South Bend.  She was a member of the UAW and represented her fellow workers as a union steward.  Sharon was a lifelong democrat and proud to participate in the voting process.  One of our favorite memories is three generations of her family voting together in the last presidential election.  Sharon looked forward to spending time with family; in particular, time spent with her grand children brought her much laughter, love, and joy.  Sharon enjoyed a good football game and could be found cheering on the Fighting Irish throughout the season.  She also had an incredibly soft heart when it came to her beloved pets.

Sharon was a Type 1 Diabetic and valiantly managed her disease throughout her lifetime.  Thankfully, she was spared many of the debilitating effects of diabetes and managed to live quite independently during the past few years.    Sharon will be remembered fondly and with much love by those who are left behind to cherish her memory.

Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord. And let the perpetual light shine upon them. And may the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
