Sharon A. Saar, 59, of 88 Slacks Run Road, Trout Run, died Sunday, November 6, 2011, at her home following a courageous battle with cancer surrounded by her family.
Sharon was predeceased by her husbands, Delbert A. Lewis and Donald C. “Donnie” Saar.
Sharon owned and operated Donnie’s Downtown Country Mall and Bodines Beverage. She was a member of the Marine Corps League, Ralston, Red Run Rod and Gun Club and the Wheel Inn. She enjoyed time with her friends at the clubs and her family.
Born March 23, 1952 in Troy, she was the daughter of Harold and Rita Spencer Walburn.
Surviving are sons, Delbert William “Bill” Lewis and Harold Joseph “Joe” Lewis, both of Bodines; stepchildren, Rob, Rick and Terry Saar; brothers, Dan (Linda) Walburn of Pine Ciy, NY and David (Kelly Craven) Walburn of Watkins Glen, NY; a sister, Sandy (Art) Rose of Elmira, NY; grandchildren, Joey, Jessica and Amber; great-grandchildren, Brice, Joshua, Jake and Angel; several nieces and nephews and her special dog, Toby.
The family would like to thank the staff of The Gatehouse for the excellent care given to Sharon.
