Sharon A. O’Connor, 64, died Monday, October 29, 2016, at her home in Richardson, Texas, following a brief illness. Sharon was born March 4, 1952 in Queens, New York. She was the daughter of Thomas and Julia (Maloney) O’Connor.
Sharon is survived by her stepmother Betty O’Connor; her siblings Tom (Sharon) O’Connor, of Irvine, California, Michelle (Pete) Bjorkman, of Greentown, Pennsylvania, Angie (Wayne) Miles, of Galesburg, Randy (Carol) Devlin, and Stan (Louella) Devlin, of Galesburg, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.She graduated from Morris Catholic High School, in Denville, New Jersey, just before moving to Galesburg in 1969 with her family. She later moved to Dallas, Texas, where she resided for many years.
She worked as an executive recruiter focusing on the technology, medical and legal professionals.Sharon is especially remembered for her positive and loving personality. She was a friend to all and the type of person who would sacrifice her own good will for the betterment of others.
