Obituary

ALLENWOOD — Sharmane B. Schooley, 65, of Allenwood passed away Friday, June 13, 2008 at the Williamsport Hospital where she had been a medical patient since Sunday.

Born September 24, 1942 in Williamsport, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Wilma LeVan. She married William H. Schooley on January 13, 1968 and they have celebrated 40 years of marriage.

Sharmane retired from the West Company after 18 years. Following retirement she worked at the Comfort Inn on Route 15 and also worked as a security guard at Pennsylvania House for Securattas of Muncy. She enjoyed fishing, and earlier in her life hunting. She collected crystal and dearly loved her dog Tasha.

Surviving besides her husband are three sons: Richard L. Eaton and his wife Tina of Altoona; William H. Schooley Jr. of Mifflinburg; Charles H. Schooley of Montandon; two daughters: Susan M. Bower and her husband Roger of Mechanicsburg and Gloria Ann Schooley; two former daughters-in-law: Carla A. Schooley and Keri L. Schooley; 8 grandchildren: Joshua L., Anthony M., and Sean M. Bower; Schuyler N. Sites; Michael A., Tommie L., Adrienne N., and Ashleigh E. Schooley; a brother, Robert “Butch” LeVan of Jersey Shore and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death besides her parents was a sister, Jean Marie LeVan.

Friends are invited to call at Brooks funeral Home, 124 Main Street, Watsontown from 6 to 7 PM Monday where a prayer service will be held at 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family is accepting memorial contributions at PO Box 3, Allenwood, PA 18710 or through the funeral home.
