Mrs. Sharia Gregory Stringer, 82, of Waynesboro, MS passed away Monday, May 25, 2020 at Southern Living Specialty Care Residency. She was born in Tupelo, MS on Wednesday, March 30, 1938 to James Vernon Gregory and Thelma Corinne Turner Gregory.
She was the loving wife of Dr. Joseph D. Stringer for 62 years and enjoyed being a homemaker. A graduate with honors from the University of Southern Mississippi, she loved researching genealogy and was a member of the DAR, Waynesboro Fine Arts Club, and First Baptist Church.
Mrs. Stringer is preceded in death by her father, James Vernon Gregory and mother, Thelma Corinne Gregory. She is survived by her husband, Dr. Joseph Daniel Stringer, Waynesboro, MS; son, Joseph Daniel Stringer, III, Winona, MS; daughter, Michele Stringer Platt, Mobile, AL; grandchild, Gracie Platt, Mobile, AL; brother, Hugh Gregory (Mary), Southaven, MS.
