Shari Pierce Allen, April 1, 1947 – May 24, 2023
Shari Pierce Allen, 76, beloved wife and mother, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family. Shari was born in Clovis, NM to Phillip “Muggins” and Hazel Pierce and was raised in Belen, NM, graduating from Belen High School in 1965. That same year she married her high-school sweetheart, Richard “Dickie” Allen and they had three daughters, Robin, Shawn, and Stacy. Shari was a loving and supportive wife and mother, and she always put family first. Shari was smart, and talented, and worked various jobs, ultimately finding her niche as a pharmacy manager. Shari was extremely innovative and was interested in anything that she could make herself, always thinking outside the box. She enjoyed the challenge of figuring out how to make the ideas in her head come to life. She was continuously working on multiple projects at once. She was fearless and inventive when it came to creativity. She could do anything, so she tried everything, including ceramics, mosaic tiling, sewing, crocheting, furniture restoration, gardening, and the list goes on. She was a wonderful seamstress, even opening a small business in the ’80s that she named Sew What?, demonstrating her creativity and fantastic, unique sense of humor. Shari was also an avid collector of anything that piqued her interest.
