Shari Ellen Bradke, age 68, of Cassopolis, died peacefully Saturday, July 14, 2018 in her home with her husband at her bedside. She was born February 13, 1950 in Niles, Michigan to Robert and Sally Thomas and lived there until moving to Cassopolis in 1993. She married the love of her life, John Franklin Bradke, December 19, 1993 in Niles, Michigan and moved to Cassopolis, where John taught school.

He survives. Shari worked as a beautician most her life, but spent even more time volunteering with various charities. She directed the Niles Sweet Adelines chorus before quitting and becoming a charter member of the Rainbow’s End Gospel Quartet. She was an active member of the Pokagon United Methodist Church, where she volunteered as choir director, worship chair, Vital Church Initiative (VCA) chair, and Youth Adventure leader. She was instrumental in starting their backpack ministry, and organized many fund-raisers for sleeping bag coats for the homeless, sending children to summer camps, Relay for Life, Wounded Warriors, and numerous other projects.

Shari will be greatly missed by family and friends. She is survived by her husband of twenty-five years, John Bradke of Cassopolis; two sons, Rob (Jazmine) Kerr and Adam (Sarah) Kerr, both of Niles; four grandchildren, Marisa Kerr, Aiden Kerr, Miles Kerr and Ellie Kerr; one brother, Bill (Judy) Thomas of Granger; and a host of nieces and nephews and loving friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.
