Shanti Prasad, 77, of Woodbridge, passed away on Monday, August 18, 2014 in Yale New Haven Hospital – Saint Raphael’s campus. Shanti was born in Varanasi, India on September 5, 1936. She was the daughter of Tapasera Devi and Vinayak Lal. Shanti was married to Durga Prasad for 64 years. Shanti is survived by her husband, Durga, and six children: Shiva Prasad (Woodbridge), Seema Srivastava (Hamden), Veena Sinha (Avon), Sushama Sinha (Woodbridge), Sudha Mehta (Albany), and Suman Malik (Woodbridge). Other survivors include her 5 son-in-laws, 1 daughter-in-law, 18 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren. She was a homemaker and showered abundant love and generosity to her family and friends.
