Shano “Bill” Arlis Rushford, 79, of Wallingford and formerly of Winter Haven, FL, husband of the late Selene (Kesner) Rushford, passed away on Saturday, January 16th surrounded by his family at Hartford Hospital. Born in Sheldon, VT on October 23, 1936, he was the son of the late Kenneth and Ethel (Dunham) Rushford. Bill was a self employed truck driver and then retired from Carabetta Management Company as a maintenance supervisor. Bill went on to spend seven wonderful years in Florida with his wife, Selene of fifty two years. Bill is survived by three sons, William Rushford and his wife, Pamela of TN, Kenneth Rushford and his wife, Barbara of Middlefield and Kevin Rushford of Middlefield; his daughter, Shanna Pieta and her husband, John of Wallingford; fifteen grandchildren; three great grandchildren; two brothers; two sisters; two very special nieces, Rene and Yvonne and many friends in CT and FL. Bill’s family would like to say a special thank you to the VAD team and ICU 9 Unit at Hartford Hospital.
