Shannon was born October 29, 1981 in Decatur, Alabama to Ivory and Charlotte Matthews Humphrey. She departed this life on March 13, 2016 at her residence.
Miss Humphrey received her formal education in the Decatur City Schools and was a 2000 graduate of Austin High School. She received her Bachelor of Applied Science in 2004 from Auburn University. She was employed with the pharmaceutical company, Nova Norsidk as a sales representative.
Shannon confessed Christ at an early age and was a member of Bridge Builders Church International.
She was loved by all that were fortunate enough to have known her. Her love for life and perseverance lead her to be a successful and beautiful young woman with a bright future.
Survivors include: father, Ivory Humphrey; mother, Charlotte Matthews Young (Rodney) all of Decatur; sister, Shantell Humphrey of Tucker, GA, special friend, Sha Spraggins of Birmingham and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
