Shannon Marie (Sorensen) Uriona, 74, passed away on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at her home in Meridian.
Shannon was born at St. Luke’s Hospital in Boise on the 29th of March 1941 to Ralph and Dorothy Sorensen.
She attended Garfield School, where she met her husband Chick Uriona, and South Jr. High. She also attended Saint Teresa’s Academy where she first began dating Chick who she married on June 2, 1962. Shannon had four daughters: Andrea, Dana, Brenda and Chanda and one son Bart. She and Chick spent 20 years as a Marine Corps family that moved many times and met many wonderful friends.
Shannon became a lady of many talents and extremely good at every one of them. “If Shannon can’t do it, it can’t be done!” was a phrase and part of a song that many friends and acquaintances would quote when speaking of her.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother: Ralph and Dorothy; her daughter: Chanda Ellen; and one grandson: Jesse. Shannon is survived by her husband Chick; four children; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
