Shannan Corners, 55, of Centralia, passed away Thursday, September 24, 2020. She was born in Mt. Vernon, Illinois, the daughter of Jerry Corners and Marcia Mercer.
Shannan is survived by her father, Jerry Corners and wife Judy of Centralia; three children: Zachary Corners and wife Pattie of Centralia, Jacob White of Centralia, and Monique Corners of Evansville, Indiana; a brother: Blaine Corners and wife Becky of Prospect, Tennessee; two nieces: Isabella Corners and Savannah Corners both of Prospect, Tennessee; a special cousin: Dennis Petrea of Carlyle and several other cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother, Marcia Mercer, grandparents: Wilmer and Edna Mercer and Raymond “Bud” and Helen Corners.
Shannan achieved her Bachelors Degree in Social Work from the Southern Illinois University of Carbondale. She worked at the Lutheran Family Services in Mt. Vernon and later worked Priced Right.
