Our Beloved Son passed into Eternity on Sunday, October 13th, 2019.
Shane William Davison was born on September 11th, 1987 the second son of John and Desbah Davison.
His maternal Grandparents were James and Ruby Robbins of Cameron, Arizona.In Navajo tradition Shane is of the Hasht’ishnii Clan and born for Bilagana.
His paternal Grandparents were John and Violet Davison of Grand Canyon, Arizona.
Shane was raised in Flagstaff, Arizona with his older brother Lance and his younger sister Patricia. He began his schooling at DeMiguel Elementary and attended Flagstaff High School. He loved playing football and was a talented athlete. He received his graduation diploma in May 2006.
Following high school; he continued playing football with the “Flagstaff Hitman” team and developed his hunting and fishing expertise.
Shane was a multi-skilled craftsman; learning carpentry and cabinet making including building and facility maintenance. He was also was a gunsmith, waiter, bartender and delighted in country swing dancing.
Beginning his military service in 2011; he graduated from United States Army Recruit Training at Ft. Jackson, South Carolina and completed advanced training “MOS 68W10 Health Care Specialist” at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas.
He served with the 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii, where he was awarded the “Army Achievement Medal” for outstanding meritorious service as a “Combat Medic” in the Battalion. He was “EMT Certified and CPR Certified”, held a “Secret Security Clearance” and was trained in Security, Counterterrorism Strategies and was an accomplished “Jungle Expert” and “Team Leader”.
Corporal Shane W. Davison’s military recognitions also included the “Army Good Conduct Medal”, “National Defense Service Medal”, “Global War On Terrorism Service Medal”, “Army Service Ribbon” and an “Overseas Service Ribbon”.
He was “Honorably Discharged” from the United States Army on August 17th, 2015 and continued his service in the U.S. Army Reserve with a “Special Forces Reserve Unit”.
Returning to Flagstaff; he continued his education at “Coconino Community College” and received an “Associate of Arts degree in General Studies” on December 16th, 2017.
He then enrolled at “Northern Arizona University” where he studied Forestry, Parks & Recreation studies and worked for NAU Facility Services.
“Shane met Rachel”… they loved being together in the great outdoors with their two dogs… hiking, camping and exploring.
Shane had many Friends; they all know how special he was, and he cherished each of them.
