Shane Patrick Tangen
Born November 20, 1971 at Doctor’s Hospital in Seattle WA.
Shane passed away October 19, 2027 in Colorado Springs, CO.
Shane was preceded in death by his Father, Terry Lynn Tangen.
Shane is survived by his Mother, Patricia Tangen, his Brother Steven L Tangen, Sister-in-law Jennie Tangen, Nephew Jordan, Niece’s Kylee and Mia. Many cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
Shane attended Apollo Elementary School in Renton, WA., Maywood Middle School in Issaquah, WA., and Liberty High School in Issaquah, WA.. Shane graduated from Western Washington University in Bellingham, WA., with a bachelor’s degree in Computing Science. He was employed by Microsoft in Redmond, WA., at the time of his death.
In high school Shane was honor society and he played varsity football and rugby. He continued playing rugby throughout his years at the university. After graduation from the university Shane played rugby for the Bellevue Rugby team. After he gave up playing rugby he went on to coach the Seattle University Women’s team and later coached the Liberty High School Boys rugby team.
Shane also enjoyed all outdoor sports, spelunking, hiking, kayaking, and golf to name a few. He loved creating bonsai’s from small plants and trees. He loved to travel and made two European trips while playing rugby. He loved family get togethers, time with all his friends and co-workers. Shane loved life and lived it to the fullest. He is in heaven with his Dad.
