Shane Donald LeadfordAge 26 of Elsie passed away suddenly on Monday, April 24, 2017 at his home.A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at Racy Free Methodist Church with Rev. John James officiating. A dinner will follow. A viewing and visitation will be held on Friday, April 28 from 5:00 to 7:00pm at Nelson-House Funeral Homes Martin Chapel.Shane was born on August 17, 1990 to James and Kathleen (Mills) Leadford in Owosso. During his life, Shane enjoyed watching and playing football and basketball with his cousins and his nephew, Jayce. He also enjoyed mushroom hunting with his uncles and friends.Shane is survived by his parents, James and Kathleen Leadford of Elsie; his grandmother, Della Leadford of Elsie; his grandfather, Donald Mills of Elsie; his brother, Jason Leadford of Saginaw; his nephew, Jayce Leadford of Elsie; his uncles, Richard (Julie) Leadford of Elsie, Joseph (Roxann) Leadford of Chapin, Bobby Jo (Amber) Leadford or Ithaca, and David (Jerry) Mills of Oakley; as well as many cousins and friends.He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Emery “Jim” Leadford, and his grandmother, Mary Ellen Mills.Memorial contributions are suggested to the family.
