SFC (Ret) Bruce Spearman, age 52, of Chatsworth, Georgia has fought his last battle and departed this earth for his last permanent duty station in heaven on November 24, 2019.
He was born on October 18, 1967. Bruce was preceded in death by his father, Harold Spearman; mother, Rhetta Andrews; sister, Rhonda Deal; brother, Carl Crawford; and sister in law, Teresa Cross Couch. He is survived by his wife and caregiver, Trudy Liles Spearman of Chatsworth; son, Jordan Henderson of Vail, CO; mother in law, Charlotte Atkinson of Dalton; sister in law, Tammy and Rickey Bradley of Rocky Face; and special friend and nurse, Drew Johnson of Rome, GA. Bruce served proudly and honorably in the United States Army for 21 years until his retirement. Bruce was awarded numerous medals and service ribbons during his service to his country. His awards include; Afghanistan Campaign Medal with Campaign Star, Meritorious Service Medal (4 awards), Army Commendation Medal (6 awards), Army Achievement Medal (6 awards), Army Superior Unit Award, Army Good Conduct Medal (6 awards), National Defense Service Medal (2 awards), Global War on Terrorism Service Medal (2 awards), Kosovo Campaign Medal, Korean Defense Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon (4 awards), and the Nato Medal.
