Sergio DeStefanis, 77, of Davis St., New Haven, passed away April 29, 2011 at his home. He was the husband of the late Angela Alberici DeStefanis. Mr. DeStefanis was born in Tocco Casuria, Pescara, Italy on March 18, 1934, son of the late Guido and Antonia DiMarco DeStefanis. He came to this country after World War II and served in the US Army. He was a mason by trade. He is survived by one son, Guido (Mia) DeStefanis of New Haven; two daughters, Emanuela DeStefanis of Tocco Casuria, Italy and Daniela (John) Rouse of Little Elm, TX.; five sisters, Maria & Lucy DeStefanis and Nancy Schettino, all in Italy, Franca Lupone & Ferdinanda Vignola, both of Hamden; and two grandchildren, Alessandra Rouse & Giovanni DeStefanis. He was predeceased by a brother, Anthony DeStefanis., 424 Elm St. (cor. Dwight) New Haven Tuesday, May 3rd at 9:30.10:00.
