He was born January 16, 1974, in Pasadena, Texas to Ruben Contreras Jr. and Sara Garcia Contreras. Sergio was a law enforcement peace officer for Rio Hondo, Lyford, and South Padre Island police departments. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. Sergio will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Sara G. Contreras.
Sergio leaves to cherish his beautiful memory, his loving daughter, Eliana Danielle Contreras; father, Ruben Contreras Jr.; siblings, Ruben Contreras III (Aida) and Xavier Contreras (Sandra); nephews and nieces, Gabriella Victoria Contreras and Matthew Joseph Contreras.
