Our beloved Gilbert left us on February 18, 2013, from his home in Waipahu, Hawaii, where he proudly and honorably served with the 56th Air and Space Communications Squadron at Hickam AFB and later with the Defense Systems Agency, Pacific Ford Island, Pearl Harbor, HI.
Gilbert’s life was his son’s: Christopher, Brendan, and Jadon. He leaves them to this life along with his father, Robert Martinez, Sr.; mother and stepfather, Lola and Wiley Potestio; brother, Robert Martinez, Jr.; sister, Jamie Ruibal; and grandparents, Angie and Desi DeHerrera.
Gilbert had so many auntie’s, uncle’s, cousin’s, nephew’s, niece’s, and dear friends who absolutely adored him. His beautiful smile, wit, and amazing personality will live on in us forevermore.
