Sebastiano Puzzo, 83, of Rocky Hill, passed away peacefully Monday, August 1, 2022. Sebastiano was born in Siracusa, Italy on January 29, 1939. He was the son of the late Frank and Josephine (Miccula) Puzzo. After moving to the United States, Sebastiano spent numerous years working in masonry. He and his wife, Gioconda (Maieli) Puzzo, of 59 years, owned and operated Maple Giant Grinder Shop in Hartford for over 30 years. Sebastiano was the most loving father to his three children, and a wonderful “Nonno” to his four grandchildren whom he adored. Along with his wife Gioconda he is survived by his daughters Josephine DiCicco and her husband Dominick, Santina Sosa and her husband Odovel; son Frank Puzzo; and his granddaughters Tiziana Puzzo, Lauren and Amandah Sosa and Danielle DiCicco. He is also survived by his brother Concetto Puzzo and his wife Frances; his brother and sister in laws: Carmelo and Lucia Maieli; Ellio and Gabriella Maieli, Ezio and Tina Maieli; and Tina Maiolino and late husband Frank Maiolino; and many nieces and nephews. Sebastiano “Nonno” was best known for his loving demeanor, passion for fishing, hunting and for being a proud member of The Italian American Stars Club where he enthusiastically partook in his weekly ritual of meeting up with his fellow members to order a cup of espresso. Sebastiano leaves his family with cherished memories for a lifetime. Riposa in Pace, Nonno, we love you endlessly.
