Sebastiano Cassarino, 96, widower of Elba (Schiappacasse) Cassarino of Bristol, passed away at Bristol Hospital on Wednesday April 1, 2009.
Mr. Cassarino was born on January 21, 1913 in Canicattini-Bagni Sicily, a son of the late Emanuele and Sebastiana (Mozzicato) Cassarino.
Sebastiano, a former barber, was an avid soccer fan who loved doing crossword puzzles.
He was a dedicated family man who loved his family especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his two sons and a daughter-in-law, Emanuele Cassarino of Bristol and Giovanni and Libera Cassarino of Bristol; his grandchildren, Mark and his wife Shreve Cassarino of Manassas, VA, Christina Cassarino and her husband Steven Ditota of Southington; his great-grandchildren, Michael, Maria Rose and Julia Ditota and Ella Cassarino; his brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and Gloria Ciarcia of Newington and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
