Sean Montoya Sutton was born on September 22, 1976, in Cleveland, Ohio to his parents, Herman L. Sutton, Sr. and Maryanne Campbell Sutton. He was the second child born in the family. He was raised surrounded by his brother, William and his sister, Talaysia. As a child, he loved playing football with his younger brother, William. He was very fond of eating peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and of course, licking the spoon. Sean received his formal education by graduating from Lincoln West High School in Cleveland. While in high school, he earned honor awards for academic excellence. On January 17, 1996, Sean married Aerica Bothwell in Cleveland, OH. The couple first met while in high school. There were no children born to this union. This marriage was later dissolved but they remained close friends. On May 9, 2014, Sean united in holy matrimony to the former Alexandria Smith. They first met in Denver, Colorado. Alexandria fondly remembers their wedding day and she sending Sean on a scavenger hunt. She also fondly remembers him playing Santa Claus every year and how much they will now miss him doing so.
