Sean T. Crimmins, age 74, of Fair Oaks Ranch, Texas, passed away on February 22, 2020.
Sean was born on September 2, 1945, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to John and Lucile Crimmins. He graduated from Central Catholic High School in Pittsburgh and, in 1967, received a B.A. from the University of Notre Dame. After serving in the United States Marine Corps, he graduated from Notre Dame Law School in 1972. Sean remained a steadfast fan of the Fighting Irish throughout his life. A careful, creative, and diligent lawyer, Sean worked for thirty years as a tax attorney, including serving in a number of senior positions for multiple oil and gas companies. He prioritized time with his family—his wife of thirty years, Susan, and his four children, twelve grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. On top of a fulfilling professional career and family life, Sean cherished his time on the golf course. He was blessed to spend most of the last seventeen years enjoying a retirement full of golf, especially playing with his friends in the B group, and time with his wife and family. Sean was a decent and caring person, and his faith animated his life. He served his church communities in a variety of capacities. In recent years, he and Susan have been active members of the community at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton. Sean particularly valued his service with the Knights of Columbus and the ACTS community.
Sean is survived by his wife, Susan, his daughters, Angelia Johnston (Mark), Tammy Burns (Andrew), and Latisha Howell (Josh), and his son, Brendan (Elizabeth); his grandchildren, Sydney, Kali, Alex, Shelby, Spencer, Sheridan, Eli, Isaac, Ashlyn, Carson, Jack, and Ben; as well as four great-grandchildren. Sean is also survived by eight siblings, Patrick, Michael, Timothy, Constance, Martin, Thomas, Kevin, and Terrence.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Lucile Crimmins.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the wonderful nurses, staff, and doctors at Hope Hospice, North Central Baptist Hospital, and Texas Oncology.
