Scotty W. Ritchea, age 72, of Salem, died at 10:30 p.m. Saturday, August 10, 2013 at the St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown. He was born February 17, 1941 in Cameron, West Virginia, the son of the late Harvey and Wilma (Holmes) Ritchea. Before his retirement in December of 1996, Scotty had worked at American Steel Foundries in Alliance as a supervisor for 30 years. Mr. Ritchea graduated from Cameron High School. He enjoyed watching sports and in his younger years was an avid golfer, fisherman and archer. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and family. A brother, Walter M. Ritchea also preceded him in death. His wife, Mona (Yoders) Ritchea, whom he married July 23, 1965, survives him along with two daughters, Janice (Hector) Rosa of Orlando, Florida and Tammy (Alvan) Thompson of Wellsville, Ohio; a brother, Harvey S. Ritchea of Nashville, Georgia; and grandchildren; Joshua Van Horn, Alex Rosa, Destinee Spann, Chloe Rosa, Jackie Van Horn, Michelle Barrera, Sabrina Thompson, Natalie Thompson, Amiyah Powell, James Wells, Olivia Wells; and one on the way, Dominic Bradley Van Horn.
