Scott was born on September 20, 1975 in Caldwell, Idaho, to Tom and Jane (Obendorf) Johnston. He was raised and educated in Parma on their family farm. Upon graduating from Parma High School, Scott attended Boise State University, where he earned his welding certification, and later his Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science.

He always enjoyed returning to the farm in Parma to ride four-wheelers, putter in the shop and relax in solitude. Scott loved to be in constant motion. As a baby, he could be held close only when sleeping. As soon as he could stand, he was jumping. As soon as he could walk, he was running. Scott had one speed in life and that was full on! He loved kids and was always game for playing catch, swimming, jumping on the trampoline, wrestling and rough-housing. His playful nature was coupled with a great sense of humor that was endearing and infectious to those around him.

Scott is survived by his parents, Tom and Jane Johnston of Parma; his sister, Amy (Michael) Porter and nephews, Owen and Attis Porter of Boise; his grandmother, Betty Johnston of Parma; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins, along with a multitude of close friends. Scott is also survived by his special gift, Jayden, who he helped raise and loved as his own son.

Scott will be forever in our hearts.
