Scott Lance Willey, of Moreland GA, passed away on Thursday, July 30, 2020 at the age of 67. Scott was born on December 30, 1952 in Santa Monica, CA to the late Albert (AL) & Claire Willey. He graduated from Briar Wood High School, in East Point GA. He received a basketball scholarship at South Georgia State College where he met his college sweetheart, Carmen Loraine Hill. On August 24, 1973, they married and had two sons which he adored, Ryan and Adam Willey. Scott’s family meant more to him than anything else in this world. His great sense of humor, even through difficult times, brought joy to everyone. Scott was passionate for all sports & outdoor activities. Every chance he got he was perfecting his golf swing or outside playing any sport with his sons and then grandkids. Scott was preceded in death by his father & mother Al & Claire Willey, & his loving wife Carmen Willey. He is survived by his children Ryan Willey (Leyla), their two children, Piper & Asher. Adam Willey (Melodie), their two children, Madison & Griffin. His loving sisters Jan Bradford (Ed) & Dawn Cash (Ben). On Thursday, April 30, 2020, Carmen Loraine Hill Willey passed away peacefully, at the age of 70. Carmen was born April 6, 1950 in Albuquerque, NM. She attended South Georgia State College in Douglas, GA. This is where she met her loving husband, Scott Lance Willey. They married on August 24, 1973, & had 2 boys, who she adored, Ryan Scott Willey & Adam Lance Willey. Her family was her life. Carmen loved all children, especially her boys. When she had grandchildren, they became her world. The love and bond she had with each of them, was like no other. She always provided support for her family, no matter the cost. Carmen had quite the green thumb & loved working in her garden. She was also a big believer in equal rights for men & women. Carmen is survived by the late Scott Lance Willey, loving husband, & her children Ryan Willey (Leyla), their two children, Piper & Asher. Adam Willey (Melodie), their two children, Madison & Griffin.
