Scott Kensley McDorman March 7, 1956-May 17, 2021 Scott Kensley McDorman, 65, passed away at his home in Newnan Monday, May 17, 2021. Scott was born March 7, 1956 in Atlanta to the late John Kensley McDorman and Mary Ben Erwin McDorman. He graduated from Druid Hills High School and attended Dekalb Community College where he interned at the Fernbank Science Center. Scott graduated from Outward Bound and NOLS (outdoor leadership school). His love of nature was evident in his landscaping career with his company, McDorman Landscape in the greater Atlanta area and St. Croix, US Virgin Islands. While living in St. Croix, he also taught sailing and scuba diving. Survivors include mother, Dr. Mary Ben Christiansen; brother, Peyton Erwin McDorman; nieces, Mallory Andrews (Mrs. Joe), Brittany Spence (Mrs. Nick); great-nieces & nephews, Levi, Charley, & Blakely Andrews, Raelyn, Fisher, Kamron & Dawson Spence.
